Objetives
Este proyecto busca generar un sistema de interconexión masivo de recursos informáticos heterogéneos, no necesariamente dedicados en exclusiva, ubicados en diferentes redes fÃsicas y gestionadas por diferentes administradores.
Description
It tries to take advantage of the computer networks in times of low usage for applications that require higher levels of computation, allowing a return on the original investment in the machines.
The strategic objectives will be basically defined as:
- To design, configure and validate a computing grid system for the development of R&D+i applications in new medicines.
- To integrate, as an initial supply of computational resources, the available times in the Guadalinfo Centres and in the Public Internet Access Centres appointed to the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Industry of the Government of Andalucia.
- To extend the network of nodes via a cooperative system that uses available computational time of other IT resources from public institutions, universities, individuals, and from anyone that would like to collaborate.
- To provide the research teams with the necessary facilities to make use of the system with the exploitation of their scientific data.
