Description
The WIKIPEK project intends to start up an accessible platform of shared knowledge in free software, where it is up to the children to define the kind of content, sections, and format, with the idea of providing them with a potent and attractive tool to exchange knowledge and information in their own virtual community.
What’s more, the information incorporated by the children offers an enormous potential for the study by experts in childhood on the different motivational elements and expectations of the future, and would provide a mechanism without barriers and encourage the integration and cohesion of children from all over the world.
The phases of this project are the following:
- Phase 0. Organisation and the launching of the project
- Phase 1. Definition of the technical specifications
- Phase 2. Design and development of the basic platform
- Phase 3. Design and development of participation by children
- Phase 4. Elaboration of conclusions and continuity proposal
